Lead global cross functional teams of up to 25 internal and external cross-functional team members in the planning, execution and launch of aerospace switching and sensing design projects with revenues ranging from $100K to $6M . Manage up to six projects simultaneously while working with widely dispersed global development teams. Drive program execution, monitoring risk and opportunity performance, and negotiating scope changes as required for optimal performance. Engage stakeholders and customers in the process, presenting project status reports and serving as a point of contact for customer communications and issues.

Developed product specifications, planned and executed to completion over ten small, medium to large projects utilizing PMP project planning, execution and control methodology.

Mentor new Program Managers and Project Leads in product introduction processes and procedures. Played an integral role in the development of Honeywell Sensing and Control PMO standard processes and procedures.

Currently managing a team of 20 global team members on a $2.4M, LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor project. Upon completion, the three-year project has potential long-term revenue of $100M+.

Directed a $300K aerospace proximity switch project for major customer in United Kingdom that resulted in spawning two follow on proximity projects for other world wide Tier 1 aircraft manufacturers with combined maturity revenue of $500k+.

Supervised project scope for a $200K Flap Skew Sensor project for the Boeng 777 and 747-8 aircraft. The project required scope changes, which were effectively negotiated and implemented without significantly impacting the cost, schedule, or quality.

Completed multiple smaller $50k to $100k aerospace sensor and switch project in conjunction with the afore mentioned projects, motivating global teams of 10+ to complete the project on time and on budget.

HEWLETT PACKARD/COMPAQ – HOUSTON, TX

Program/Project Manager 2000 - 2007

A multinational information technology corporation that provides products, technologies, software, solutions and services. Compaq was acquired by HP in 2002.

Managed the life cycle development of data storage devices for desktop and rack mount applications with potential revenues of $50K to $250K. Coordinated, directed and led engineering efforts, supervising multi-functional global teams of 10-20 within Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing. Created and monitored project timelines, scope changes and risk mitigation, serving as the primary liaison on project status and deliverables for stakeholders, OEM, engineering and manufacturing. Maintained cost control and profitability through interaction with the product management, accounting group, sales, and customers. From 2000 – 2002, worked as a Project Engineer, testing and troubleshooting data storage products to ensure quality data security, high-speed accurate performance, and compliance with data backup existing applications.

Attained PMP during tenure and utilized the PMBOK five phase methodology to develop and deliver quality data backup and security equipment to market.

RAYTHEON / E-SYSTEMS – GREENVILLE, TX

Design Engineer II 1990 - 2000

Defense contractor with manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics. Raytheon purchased E-Systems, a military contractor that built top-secret spying equipment and electronic gear.

Analyzed US Air Force surveillance system issues and incorporated electronical design corrective action modifications. Developed test plans and software, technical documents and embedded software for surveillance systems.
