Strategic Planning

As Project Manager strategically led a cross-functional New Product & Process Development Team in the design, development and successful product launch of a new Crossover 80Ton Truck Crane which was the first to be introduced in its respective Market Segment. The crane will meet the growing demands of the Oil & Gas, Energy and Building Construction industries. As a result of implementing Lessons Learned and an aggressive approach to managing Development Cost and the Cost of Goods the resultant of these efforts was a 10% savings compared to a comparable vehicle or Cost of Goods which allowed for an average margin of approximately 28% per unit.

Developed and presented to executive management the business case for a Global Rough Terrain Crane, based upon market research, technology trends and assessment of driving and disruptive forces. The business case captured Cost, Budgeting and Developmental initiatives that could potentially result in a margin of approximately 35% per unit and market share of 23% after the first twelve months of introduction.

Orchestrated start-up support for 62 Shanghai GM Authorized Service Centers throughout China. Developing technical training, standards, implementing programs to enhance technician’s diagnostic and interpersonal skills, and service information translation.

Prepared and implemented Business Development Strategies for Field Management, Service Parts, Engineering and the Technical Assistance Call Center.

Conducted on-going meetings with ASC management to enhance the “Customer Problem Resolution Process” and develop a “Fix-It-Right-The-First-Time Strategy”

Quality Management

Lead and championed more than 45 Kaizen and Six Sigma projects in which the average cost savings per project has ranged from $50K - $250K. These projects encompassed lean manufacturing concepts, Value Stream Management as well as Scrap and Rework mitigation.
