●The analysis resulted in the design, development, and implementation of Prospective Student and Applicant web portals. Each of these projects utilized Visual Basic (COM+, DCOM, and ADO), Active Server Pages - ASP (COM+, DCOM, and ADO), HTML, JavaScript, Internet Information Server (IIS) 5.0 and Oracle 8i/9i (SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Packages, and Materialized Views).

●The requirements called for us to develop custom reliable TCP/IP network solutions that emphasized redundancy, security, and scalability. These goals were achieved by making use of COM+, DCOM, and ADO to design an n-tier architecture that allowed components of the system to reside on different servers.

●Security was maintained by encrypting the RDS connections using SSL via our middle tier while maintaining the database server entirely within a protected network. Through the use of our software products, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been able to focus more on developing personal relationships with their students / applicants while reducing their personnel and mailing costs.

●Responsible for Quality Assurance Testing and management of various facets of these diverse projects.
