•Based in Bintulu within a team handling project tendered from Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas (MLNG) and supervised by a project manager.

•Participated in meeting with client – discussing and understanding client’s requirements and objective.

•Attended in site visit with project manager for a better view about the work scope.

•Prepared job packages and schedules for each project – defining Work Breakdown Structure for each project and assigning each work with a time frame.

•Created Material Takeoff List and Material & Equipment Checklist – to ensure all equipments and materials are validated and send to site on date.

•Monitored the project – liaise with the client, project manager and subcontractor for the entire project life cycle and producing daily/weekly progress to them.

•Helped and leaded the mechanics on maintenance/ repair jobs – gained fundamental automotive knowledge. Example: Pneumatic system on truck and hydraulic system for excavator.

•Teamed with a senior engineer to Shin Yang Shipyard to setup the safety alarm for generator in a ship.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

•Working in contractor firm has allowed me to develop my communication skills by understanding the needs of my clients. By using email, phone and meeting, I able to exchange ideas with clients and inform them about the progress details of the projects. This has led to me being recognised as one of the main contact by clients aside by mentor.

Organisational and Time Management

•Studying my postgraduate and undergraduate has taught me the important of prioritizing my work load and ensuring that I am meeting all deadlines. Throughout my studies, I able to submit all my coursework and always on time when attending meeting with my colleagues.

Teamwork and Leadership

•Organise a side visit to MLNG plant to verify the feasibility of design drawing. To do this, I had to work as a part of a team to arrange visit to the plant. My role was to coordinate my colleagues confirm all possible problem when installing. Installing was successful conducted within the agreed time frame.

Problem Solving

•During my last project with my company, my client introduce a suddenly change of design in the project during implementation stage. To meet client need, I analysed the change and came out with a mitigation plan. The project ends successfully with 1 days delay only.

Information Technology

•Experienced user at Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

•Familiar with engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, Matlab and Pro Engineer) and project management software (Microsoft Project and Primavera).

•Basic knowledge in C++ language and programming.
