Work History
I graduated high school in 1977, during that Winter to work for seven Springs Mountain resort in their rental ski shop. In 1978 I worked as a laborer in a coal strip mine for Barnhart and sons. In 1979 I worked in a sawmill till I joined the U.S. Navy. In the Navy I worked as a boiler technician and was honorably discharged in 1983. After my discharge I worked for hidden Valley ski resort in their ski rental shop during the winter months for six seasons. From 1984 to 1994 I worked as a landscaper during the summer months for Lichtenfels nursery out of Johnstown. PA. From 1994 to 1995 I worked as a security guard for the Sony plant in new Stanton PA. In 1996 I worked for Dones pet care in Everson PA. (They are no longer in business). At Dones we made dog and cat food, I was a lead man on the production line, responsible for bagging and the preparation of dog and cat food to be shipped. I worked there till 2000 when I started working as a carpenter for the 2274 Heavy Hwy. carpenter union out of Pittsburgh PA.

I worked at Somerset door and column-174 Sagamore St., Somerset PA 15501 814-***-****
At Somerset door and column we made high-end entryways and columns for homes and businesses. My job there was to pick out high grade hardwood and exotic wood and cut to a working size as needed, most of my work was for entryways. I operated a number of different saws, sanding machines, wood presses, and forklifts as well as hand tools.

McCarthy tire service in Somerset is in the business of recapping and repairing off-road equipment tires. My job there was running a buffing machine, it would grind off the old rubber off the big tires so they could be recapped. Also I worked in the repair department, and preparation departments to get tires ready to be rebuilt. I had extensive use of forklifts to move the big tires, electric, propane, and diesel forklifts also extensive use of a Bobcat front end loader. I used a variety of hand tools, pneumatic grinding tools and electric grinders.
Work experience summary
My work experience over the years made it necessary for me to learn to operate a lot of different types of equipment, forklifts, tractors, backhoes, front end loaders, ect... Also the variety of jobs I have had allowed me to learn a lot of different skills. I found I work well with others in team situations and I am very comfortable working by myself. I am very good at adapting to new situations and new challenges. I am very confident that the skills I have learned and the things that I can do would be a benefit for any company that I would be working for.

Two years at Allegheny College of Maryland (Somerset campus) on general courses.
Currently enrolled at American Intercontinental University (online) majoring in criminal justice and case management.
