Finance Technician (This is a federal job)

Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:

Performs travel functions in the realm of resource management. Completes travel orders and travel

vouchers for Letterkenny employees. Responsible for completing all travel arrangements performing to

TDY trips. Communicates with supervisors and directors across depot on a daily basis. Passport agent for

the entire depot. Performs functions relating to passports such as completing forms for the traveler and

verifying personal information. Performs as point of contact for deployments. Performs functions in the

APACS system for receiving approval for country and theater clearances. Deployment point of contact

for the entire depot. Knowledge of the electronic foreign clearance guide governed by the Pentagon and

each particular country requirements. Maintains contact with AMCOM POC for up to date changes

concerning OCONUS locations. Performs all overseas functions for the entire depot. Performs functions

as DTS, Defense Travel Administrator for the entire depot in the Defense Travel System. Maintains DTS

records for entire depot concerning banking and government credit changes. Serves as contact

concerning any travel issues pertaining to the JTR. Maintains that all TDY trips are abiding by the joint

travel regulations. Performs PCS, permanent change of station orders and travel arrangements for

incoming employees authorized PCS expenses. Serves as main point of contact for all PCS and TCS

moves.

Ability to type 45 words or more per minute. Excellent customer service. Familiar and knowledgeable

with a personal computer, software and related equipment. Also familiar with use of internet for

research purposes and also very familiar with the use of APACS, DTS, passport regulations and the

electronic foreign guide systems. Excellent customer service in dealing with over three thousand people

on the depot whether in person, telephone or by email. Regularly responds to customer inquiries

regarding travel questions, use of Joint Travel Regulation. Skilled in effectively communicating policy and

procedural matters to a wide range of individuals; operation a personal computer, software and related

equipment.

Experience providing clerical or administrative support and using automated office systems such as

word processing, electronic mail and other communications software, and data gathering.

Experience providing assistance in the area of records management, including filing, records

maintenance and/or disposition.

Experience coordinating administrative activities and/or services within an office or professional group,

such as or related to monitoring administrative and/or clerical processes, recommending operating

standards and/or procedures, and coordinating documents and correspondence that requires the

attention of multiple stakeholders, key management and/or staff.
