Formed Fiber Technology – Production Supervisor July – 2013 – April - 2015

I am the Supervisor responsible for 32 production employees and lab technicians/engineers across 6 divisions (R&D, Quality, and Production/Safety/Maintenance). Using 5S Principles and mindful of meeting safety goals, production metrics and ISO 9000 standards, collaborated across all divisions as the Second Shift overall supervisor.

As the Project Manager I was responsible for 8 technicians (electrical maintenance and metal fabrication) performing Signage installations and building fabrications for various locations throughout the United States.

Managed and assigned staff to include hiring and managing of sub-contractors (paint crews, steel fabrication crews, electrical Crews, and any other sub-contractor related to various projects).

Responsible for job permits and all project documentation.

Moore Drums, Inc. - Production Manager August 1998 – September 1999 - Relocated

I was the Production Manager in charge of directing and coordinating manufacturing operations facility used to recondition 55 gallon drums. Responsibilities include Managing of 4 supervisors and 64 employees across 3 divisions (Shipping/Receiving, Finishing and Quality) using the 5S principles and mindful of meeting safety goals and production metrics, collaborated across all divisions as production manager.

Manage customer relations and maintaining production schedules.

Manage plant chemicals operations

Responsibilities included management of supervisors (Employee training, Safety, Quality, and production performance). Managing and maintaining Production by minimizing waste and down time, maximizing production and quality.

Westvaco Paper Mill – Kraft Division - Waste Water Operator 1981 – 1998 - Relocated

Working Wastewater operator responsible for treating and storage of all wastewater used in day-to-day operation of Westvaco paper Mill. Responsibility was to ensure proper Management and treatment of wastewater operations. Monitor Control panel used in daily operations. Maintained proper water flow rates and ph levels .Monitor chemicals used for wastewater treatment Performed safety inspections of equipment. I exercised mechanical skills providing on-site maintenance of all pumps and machinery. Mechanical skills include rebuilding of pumps, and valves, monitoring of oil levels, and vibration analysis of pumps. Managed high-pressure sludge presses used to extract wastewater from pulp. Lab-testing experience Performed lab testing for ph levels solids levels and sedimentation chemically tested water to determine safety. HAZMAT certified due to the use of chlorine used for wastewater treatment.

Boiler Operator Monitored the operation of three steam producing boilers. Maintained boilers to run turbine generators feed water pumps and paper machines. Monitored and controlled pressure levels of boilers. Monitored ID and FD fans to include vibration analyst of 600 pound steam driven feed water pumps used to supply cooling water to turbine oil coolers and to boilers. Monitored and maintained High-pressure air compressors. I implemented preventive Maintenance plans for boilers. Hands on maintenance experience during daily operations as well as shutdowns. Daily operations include Employee training, Safety, Quality, and production performance.

Assistant Turbine Generator Operator

Responsible for all oil and water-cooling systems used to control turbine generators. I monitored oil levels, oil temps and vibration of five turbine generators. Monitored water-pumping station consisting of high output cooling water pumps used for maintaining a reservoir level that supplies cooling water to the entire paper mill. I performed Hands on turbine maintenance and inspection of turbine generators for optimal operation. I monitored and recorded temperatures and flow rates also vibration analyst of turbine generators. I was responsible for maintaining of oil and water levels used in startup and shut down of turbine generators.

Pool man

General laborer Operating forklifts, JLG lifts and Track Mobile train pulling coal cars. Unloaded coal onto conveyor systems filling coal bins supplying coal to boilers. Mechanical and electrical experience utilized while servicing machinery used for assigned duties.
