An American multinational food manufacturing company that produces cereal and convenience foods including cookies,crackers, cereal bars, fruit flavored snacks, frozen waffles, and vegetarian foods. Produce are manufactured in 18 countries and man factored in over 180 countries.

Operational Supervisor (1st and 3nd shift)

2013-Present

Provide direction and guidance to 300 union employees and their activities for assigned area/shift. Manage day-to-day operations along with multiple priorities with detailed orientation. Engage and collaborate with many diverse people and perspectives. Use leadership and communication skills, while overseeing the daily activity and development of the operators which helps to identify opportunities for more efficiently produce at a low cost. Demonstrate leadership to ensure the company's standards are meet for safety, food safety, quality, people development, service, and cost. Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure production, supply chain, financial budgets and quality goals are met. Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis with respect to mixing, sifting and delivering WIP to designated areas. Meet shipping and receiving schedules as well as inventory control and accuracy. Maintain positive employee relations, open communication while resolving employee discipline or performance issues. Review production schedules, material and manpower resources. Inform assigned employees of production and material problems and coordinate with support groups to resolve problems affecting schedules. Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures. Maintain a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods.

Identified opportunities to eliminate cost and/or waste through applying Lean manufacturing principals which resulted a reduction in waste lost from 6% to 4%.
