PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

Designed an Anti -Theft Protection system for Home Power Supply.

Designed a theft detection circuit and a communication circuit, which enables transfer of data to the supplier so that he can take preventive action. Theft detection circuit consists of instruments for measuring various electrical quantities and a compare circuit which generates an error signal upon variation between two quantities. The design incorporates ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) technology for communication from the meter to the supplier control room, that ensures significant cost savings as it can transfer data of more than 1000 houses using a single ASK transmitter.

Developed an Active Filter Design for Reduction of Harmonics.

Developed a Harmonics detection circuit and a control circuit to reduce Harmonics using Fuzzy Logic on MatLab Simulation software. The project involved varying the resistance, capacitance and inductance parameters to achieve the reduction in harmonics.

Delivered a Seminar on Hybrid Power Systems.

Delivered a Seminar on Hybrid Power Systems, which focused on Renewable Energy production - a combination of Solar, Thermal, Hydro and Wind Power systems to manage the power demand and reduce dependency on fossil fuel based power.

Certification on “Industrial Automation” from CTTC, Bhubaneswar (Duration: 1 month)

Course comprises of training on Electrical Actuator and PLC Programming using Simatic Manager, Siemens software for Industrial Automation.

Attended a training course on Dispatcher Training Simulator at PSTI, Bangalore.

Course comprises of training on Eterra software (v1.5) for Visualization and Control of Power Systems.

The software is used in NLDC for controlling power systems at a Pan-India level.
