Manage the operations of QA / QC function for footwear product areas

Key Accountabilities:

Ensuring in-coming raw material are approved against the technical standard and matching with the customer seal sample

Ensuring appropriate testing carried out and test results are meeting with the customer define standards

Over viewing pilot run / pre-production trial for every style at initial stage of bulk production provide technical support during the handover from development to production to ensure the products outcome meeting with the customer standards and seal sample

Ensuring confirmation approval / rejection and associated comments are clearly communicated to all relevant parties.

Ensuring factory using correct labelling and packing as requested on official order / manual.

Arranging with each factory production / testing samples and test reports and check if all results meet the standard requirements.

Arranging with each factory AQL inspection before ex-factory date and Reporting to UK technologist about AQL inspection results.

Compile, analyse and report return rates and work with relevant parties to improve.

My functional duties involve the following.

Testing of every raw material (Leather, Synthetic, Rubber, Fabric, Insole etc.) & finished product according to SATRA Norms & Method.

To establish & implement system for the assessment of leather / raw material after various test and maintain a written record of the tests carried out. To carry out incoming quality check / inspection for incoming material before issuing the same to production.

Responsible for performing calibration of lab equipment (In-house or outside) physical maintenance.

To ensure that the sample are sent to the outer agency for testing according to customer request. Co-ordination with vendors for the purchase of new equipments & calibration. To carry out tasks as assigned by the management.

Preparation of yearly budget for lab. To co-ordinate, the process schedules and work accountabilities with concerned department. To check the samples according to the specific standards. All the tools are preceded as per the specified standard.
