KEY EXPERTISE

I effectively manage design IPT team comprised of engineering, manufacturing, quality, production and procurement to meet cost, schedule and contractual requirements while conforming to all applicable laws, regulations, company processes and procedures.

I provided liaison support with MRB Authority for engineering and manufacturing. Working closely with quality control, I wrote disposition for nonconformance issues using sound judgement along with discretion to resolve fit, form or functional issues on A/C components keeping the product on schedule.

Held weekly meetings making sure the changes that need to be made have been completed and are the changes all parties agreed to. Discuss the changes as soon as possible with all vendor/suppliers for their concurrence with delivery dates. If delivery date’s slip the responsible group will be held accountable.

Engineering drawing package checker, including verification of all specifications called out on the engineering drawings requiring FAA or foreign approval. Strong GD&T and tolerance stack up skills. Signature authority for MRB/Liaison Engineer. I also review all processes and procedures for contractual and FAA requirements, and made recommendations to manufacturing for integrations. I was responsible for determining the type of repair required SRM Repair, Boeing engineering repair or provide engineering drawings, work instructions and DER concurrence for the repair. I also worked closely with the mechanics getting their input and ideas for ease of manufacturing, schedule and costs reductions. I determined if repair was a fatigue critical area for submittal to F&DT DER for report for FAA approval. Review & trouble shooting of A/C Systems in conjunction with Design Engineering as required.

Sikorsky Global Helicopter 2012-2013

I lead a team reducing Discrepancy Reports (DR) by 66% in less than 3 months. This was accomplished by utilizing IPT concepts. Combining quality control, manufacturing, and engineering showing the other functions that working as a team creates productivity. Bringing these three skills together and proving that we all have excellent ideas that need shared and discussed as a team. I gained the respect of all groups and we formed a cohesive team. When an issue was found we convened and discussed the most efficient way to proceed, reducing man hours, schedule constraints and costly rework. I also wrote repair instructions, then assemble the team and discuss any constraints they could see before us as a team released the Repair for work. Pemco 2010-2011

Dothan, AL. LEAD ENGINEER/ LIAISON ENGINEER/MRB

Traveled to Juina, China for the structural engineering and drawing incorporation for the replacement of the 9g cargo barrier net and associated structural hardware with the 9g composite bulkhead and new structural components. I Instructed the Chinese personnel on the proper use of OEM data for B737 and the use of my Boeing fleet for repair/concurrence with Boeing Structures Engineering group. I was acting Boeing 737 Liaison Engineer with MRB authority, I wrote repair instructions, reviewed all detail and installation drawings provided input for additional changes, submitted to DER’s for approval or AMOC’s if required for previous STC’s in damaged or modification areas. Upon my return to Dothan Alabama, I was the senior liaison engineer with MRB authority performing structural floor upgrade for FAA certification of a new Combi configuration for the U.S. government. I also prepare ICD drawings for communicating our requirements to vendors before acceptance I traveled to supplier being the approving party. Reviewed all ERC’s and determined if EO’s were required. I was also responsible for all back shop issues working cohesively with manufacturing we reduced part scrapage by 16% while resolving problems at the lowest cost possible.

Review SOW’s, RFI, and RFQ’s determining requirements for manufacturing metrics, Identify risk and opportunities for BOE’s, prepare BOE’s. Wrote RFI’s and RFQ’s for supplier quotes. MRB approved for Manufacturing. Write work cards for routine and non-routine tasks provide hours and add to schedule. Provide schedule data for manufacturing. Lead for Lean View Diagrams identifying non-value added steps in manufacturing processes. Develop spaghetti diagrams showing areas that are non-value added steps and processes. I also made recommendations to management and employees for improvements for Lean Manufacturing processes. Lead designer evaluating work stands for Lean manufacturing and point of use concepts. Design new safety stands for Lean manufacturing, point of use concepts while improving employee safety and efficiencies. Lead Manufacturing Engineer assisting Engineering for development of common standards for Lean Manufacturing concepts (common materials and hardware reducing P.O.’s and stocking of non standard materials). I was also co-chair for developing 5S procedures, audits and continuous improvements. BAE Systems 2006-2007

Mojave, CA. IPT / D&D LEAD / LIAISON ENGINEER /MRB (Consultant)

Mechanical IPT in charge of reviewing all contractual requirements, ICD’s and source data for device integration into equipment racks, work stations, Intercommunication Rack, TSPI, Instrumentation and RAID racks for the CATB joint strike fighter test bed. Liaison engineer\MRB approved for structural, mechanical and outside suppliers. Communicating daily with outside suppliers making sure the latest changes have been provided to them by document control and what risks have developed due to changes. Negotiated solutions with customer and suppliers keeping the products on schedule. Supervised and delegated design packages for 15 designers and drafters. I also provided weekly work plans and schedules for Program Management. I chaired daily IPT meetings for peer reviews of all associated drawing packages produced by all team. I also checked drawings for material specifications, hardware specifications, co-implemented the use of common hardware for the fabrication and installation of equipment racks using producability, maintainability and ease of installation concepts while eliminating cost and long lead times for non standard hardware. Using the WBS discovered potential areas that were going to become critical path issues effecting delivery schedule. By finding the issues in advance we were able to reallocate resources for return to on time delivery’s.

Lead design/liaison engineer working in conjunction with DER’s performing structural floor beam enhancements for increased container weights and multiple container configurations while implementing new FAA loading conditions (G Loads). MRB approved for structures, mechanical and interiors. As an MRB rep. working together manufacturing and engineering became more productive by understanding each functions capability. I combined two loading systems into one common design eliminating multiple configurations. I revised the existing tooling design for equal weight distribution and loads during upper and lower jamb installation. I assessed contract requirements, provided work plans & schedules, man hours and man loading for on time delivery to customers and management. I prepared ICD’s drawings, communicating project requirements to multiple vendors. I was also liaison responsible for customer approval for two suppliers of the Cargo Handling System’s prior to FAA approval. I also designed new tooling for locating of new common seat track for multiple loading systems (Ancra & Pemco systems).
