CAREER SUMMARY
My career at Commonwealth Associates Engineering Consulting firm has allowed me learn many aspects of the Electrical and Civil Engineering field. During my time in the civil department I primarily worked drawing foundation plans for Control House buildings - involving HVAC systems and laying out various equipment for installation for various clients. My time in the Protection and Control dept for our electrical substation design has allowed me the freedom to learn some Design. I primarily update drawings for substation rebuild by running new cables, relay devices, voiding drawings. These drawings are schematics and wiring diagrams, creating one-line, three-line and bus wiring diagrams. I also work with as-built drawings. I prepare all these drawings for various engineers by following client standards. In my department I am the go to guy for all work, I've excelled in many areas. I am also in charge of training new hires and taking on some minor management duties.

American Electric Power: CAD Drafter responsible for updating and editing drawings primarily concerned with wiring, schematic drawings and naming protocols for various clients under AEP. Training new employees on customer standards. Taking on management roles in Electrical Engineering Substation dept.
Northeast Utilities: CAD Drafter responsible for working on civil engineering HVAC projects, which included cable trench for South End control houses.
Wolverine: CAD Drafter for the White Pigeon Substation Rebuild project in Constantine, Michigan. Participated in site visits.
