Beaumont Hospital, is a public voluntary hospital located in Beaumont, Dublin, Ireland.

It is the second largest hospital in the Republic of Ireland.

HR Consultant( Contract Role)

Initially this is a three month contract to work on a specific project, TUPE of between

1200 employees from one Hospital to Beaumont Hospital depending on the legal

outcome. This project involves reviewing the policies & procedure for both hospitals to

identify the gaps. Mapping the project plan to include the employee face to face

meetings, union meetings & representative meetings. It will also require verifying all the

terms & conditions of employment for the 1200 employees and confirming them as

authorised. Ensuring that the overall HR aspect of the project meets the deadline. I also

spent time in the Recruitment are of the business supporting them to clear a backlog of

short terms contracts, fixed terms contracts, internal competitions and organising the

packs and interviews. I then moved back into the Human Resources administration team

where I worked with the Employee Relations Managers dealing with all leave

applications, writing SOP documents, and policy documents. I would also deal with all

employee queries on an ad-hoc basis as part of the team.

multinational organisation located in Ireland since 2002.

Position: HR Manager Ireland

Key responsibilities:

Change management: Successfully implemented a major restructuring programme

for the business, resulting in a headcount reduction and reorganisation of the

Commercial team.

Strategic HR Best Practice: Successfully developed and implemented all company

policies and procedures to provide defined structure required to evolve into a highly

with unions directly in negotiations in relations to employee contracts and cases.

Drafted documentations & represented the Irish business in all cases in the EAT and

LRC.

HRIS: Introduction, Implementation and training in a new self service HR software

system.

Compensation & Benefits: Set up the company pension and medical scheme for the

employees across the company.

Project Management:

• Managed several implementations of new payroll systems. Oversaw the

company payroll process.

• Competency Development: Responsible for running a leadership development

programme for all of the middle management team showing considerable

improvement in their competencies and project management abilities.

• Introduction of the Drug & Alcohol policy into the Irish business to ensure that all

employees are free from alcohol and substance abuse to ensure high

performance.
