Professional Experience:
Advanced Human Modelling Laboratory, WSU. Jan’14 - Present
-Analyzed GHBMC v4.2 Head Injury Model using finite element methods in investigation and reconstruction of the brain impacted towards the steering column, airbags and instrument Panel.
-Blast Wave was Modelled and simulated for predicting Injury Criterion in Human Head (Traumatic Brain Injury) based on Stress and Pressure levels in Human Brain.
Internship (Graduate Trainee):
Bosch India Ltd., India, Quality Department May’12 – July’12
-Calculated and reduced the cycle Time and the lead time of a specific component.
-Prolonged approaches for cycle time reduction was used, firstly reducing material to be machined, and secondly using better speeds reduce machining time.
-Designed the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) and VSD (Value Stream Designing) of the whole system.
Projects Accomplished:
Computer Aided Designing (CAD)
Design and modeling of Friction Stir Welding Machine : Dec ‘14 – May’15
-Design and optimization of FSW machine using Catia V5, Unigraphics and optimization tools for enhanced research activity aiming at the study towards economical and efficient welding process and hence contributing in low cost automotive manufacturing technology.
Designed and Developed a concept city bike : Sep’14 – Dec’14
-An Innovative approach in the design of a city ride bike- “E-Bike”.
-A 3D and 2D layout of product and its various mountings for GPS, regenerative braking system and bag tray was designed using Catia V5 and Unigraphics for its use in cities or universities in a very efficient way.
Automobile Concept Design : Nov’13 – March’14
-Sketched and modelled a concept sedan in CatiaV5 using Wireframe design, Sketch tracer and generative shape design.
-Plastic material was utilized to design the interior and the bumper, the door panels and the hood composed of sheet metal.
-Body-in-White, Seat wireframe and head restraint system were also design for better ergonomics of the car.
Designed and Manufactured an All-Terrain Vehicle : March’12 - Jan ‘13
-An All-terrain vehicle was designed and developed in CatiaV5 and Creo2.0 using Surface design, Sheet metal design, and Part design and assembly tools for the development of full body structure.
-Standard industrial design procedures were used to design transmission system and the Steering system using various calculative approaches.
-Lead the Seating system team in designing of seat wireframe, head restraints and mounting points and regulatory checks i.e. FMVSS 202, 207, 208 were applied for safety of the occupant.
-The roll cage (Body-in-white) was fabricated using AISI4130 steel for bars and aluminized steel for the surface body.
-As a team member of Baja SAE India the aim was to build a Reliable, Fast, and Dynamic Vehicle.
Designed and Manufactured a Multi Utility Vehicle : Sep’11 – Jan’14
-The 3D layout of the MUV was modeled using some designing softwares such as CatiaV5, Pro-E and then rendered in solid works.
-The vehicle was manufactured so as to check the maneuverability and reduce the time wasted in the traffic.
Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)
Full Vehicle Structure Analysis during Frontal Crashes : Jan’14 - Present
-Hypermesh and LsDyna was used for Pole Test and rigid barrier tests conducted for vehicle compliance according to FMVSS 208 test procedures.
-The dummy were placed inside to check the strains and pressure occurred in the body during impact towards the airbags.
Full Vehicle Structure Analysis during Roll Over Crashes : Sep’14 – Dec’14
-LsDyna and Hypermesh was used for Drop test and roof crush test conducted on vehicle with an imaginary surface created to act as a rigid boundary for the test procedure according to FMVSS 216.
FEM of Crash Reconstruction and Occupant Safety : Aug’13 – Nov’13
-Finite Element model of a helmet was modeled in hyper mesh and was analyzed in LsDyna for several circumstances focusing on the safety of the occupant.
