Estimate and manage residential, commercial, heavy highway projects from $25,000 - $10,000,000.

Duties include but limited to detailed estimates for all aspects of

Sanitary Sewer installation including lift stations gravity and force mains, Earthwork, Storm sewer including under drains, Water lines including mainline and services, fire protection (inside and outside), bridges, asphalt paving, slip form concrete curb and flat work.

Monitor cost of labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials; checking on overruns in quantity or cost to date based on percentages completed.

Manage subcontractors.

Manage field crews.

Schedule and maintain equipment needs.

Ensure proper completion of equipment return/receipt reports.

Participate in site meetings with owners, engineers, employees and subcontractors to verify work completed and compliance with specifications and plans.

Reconcile quantities on pay applications with owners, engineers, subcontractors and inspectors, and generate pay applications for submitting to owner.

Prepare monthly pay requests and invoices.

Compose letters of intent, RFI, notices to perform, notices of breech and transmittal letters to subcontractors, vendors, owners and engineers.

Obtain materials quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders.

Accurately track, maintain and report counts of materials used on-hand & required.

Prepare and track project change orders and invoice.

Track invoices and receipts for field purchase orders and maintain field purchase order files and documentation.

Create and file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports, E-mails) on a daily basis to follow-up on and/or summarize project issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.

Schedule staking.

Purchased materials for all contracted jobs, tools such as pumps, generators, and related field equipment.

Hired and managed all field employees.

Implemented safety as well as drug and alcohol policy.

Education: Accounting and Construction Management majors with a minor in Finance.

1986-1989 Ball State University Muncie, Indiana

I have at least 25 years relevant experience as Project Manager, Superintendent in heavy civil construction projects, especially with Roads, Bridges, Deep Sanitary Sewer, locks and waterworks.

Experience in US Army Corps of Engineers Projects.

Strong technical ability to evaluate drawings plans and specs to ensure proper availability of all materials and parts and to ensure field crews have what's necessary for scheduled construction work on a timely basis.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Agtek, Bid2win, Primavera, Expedition and CAD.

Good verbal and written communication skills & experience managing work teams.

Able to multitask and work independently under pressure with tight deadlines.
