To whom it May Concern:
This letter is in reference to Mr. Claude Rogers. Mr. Rogers has been an employee of Pizza Hut since July of 1992. He was without a doubt one of the most loyal, trusted, dedicated, and reliable people that I have ever known. He was originally hired as an MIT (Manager in Training) and progressed quite rapidly to the California Central District Manager and later the District Manager of that area.
I have personally worked with Mr. Rogers for the last 3 years. Mr. Rogers was involved in every phase of the operations. Some of his responsibilities were: training, scheduling, hiring and firing, inventory control, catering, quality control, and delivery operations. Mr. Rogers was also involved with opening several new restaurants. He assumed this responsibility 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. If there was a problem after hours, he was called and he dealt with it without EVER complaining. Mr. Rogers handled most customer complaints and did so with great finesse. He had a way of dealing with customers that made them feel like friends. If a customer called upset, he had a way of calming them down, making them feel that they got what they need to make them happy, and keeping the customer.
Mr. Rogers is also a person that can be trusted in any capacity. I can honestly say that his job came first. In the years I have known Mr. Rogers, I never once had to question his integrity.
His ability at dealing with employees was excellent. He handles them firmly, but they respected him. He would stand for no nonsense from anyone and they knew it. He is in my opinion the ideal employee for any employer.
Sincerely,
Paul Owens

To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Claude Rogers.
Claude was hired to work part-time in our Indio Round Table Pizza Restaurant 08/23/88. He left our company 10/28 in good standing.
When we had management problems, we called upon Claude and he came back to help us out. Upon rehire, 1/18/89, Claude was given the position of manager. His professional and operational expertise helped put the stores back to order. He’d advised us that after he trained a management team and put the restaurant on its feet operationally, that he would be leaving us to pursue other career interests, namely, real estate.
Claude resigned 1/31/90, leaving in place a well-trained crew.
The new manager had personal problems that adversely affected our business and again we called Claude. On 10/3/90, he returned to manage the restaurant.
Claude’s been in the store for over a year now. His was the first of our stores to start delivery. This was natural, since Claude was our strongest manager. Since he put delivery in place in January 1991, he’s helped our other managers implement delivery in their stores.
Claude has increased Indio’s sales dramatically. This was through hard work and dedication.
Under Claude’s management, the store has won a VCR in a franchiser customer service contest. This past summer, he won a trip to Hawaii in a chain-wide sales increase contest. (Only two stores in the entire system of five hundred fifty Round Table Pizza restaurants won).
Our company has ongoing safety contests – they run for six months. The Indio restaurant has won twice. No Worker’s Compensation accident for an entire year. Obviously, safety is a serious concern to Claude.
Because our office and other five restaurants are in the Orange County area, Claude has needed to run the Indio store pretty much from top to bottom on his own. He operates independently very well. When a decision is needed, he acts on it and follows through.
As a Manager, Claude hires, terminates, trains, schedules, is responsible for all ordering, inventory control, and costs in his restaurant.
I have found Claude to be reliable, honest hard-working, and confident in his abilities and skills.
I sincerely recommend Claude for any position that he aspires and I wish him much success.
Sincerely yours,
Richard Kenna
