Petroleum Engineer Reservoir and Production Department: since November, 2007
Field Experience
November 2007 – October2008
One year of Rotation Engineering program: Worked in Drilling, Production, Operations and Work Over with horizontal wells. Included completion of oil wells and operations related to the production facilities.
Production Engineering Experience
October2008-October2010
Analyzed technical data. Performed well tests, improved production and injection performance with PLT, RFT and PVT data.
Reviewed well data to find suitable candidates for increasing production by stimulation, perforating or artificial lift.
Performed oil, water and gas allocation and developed its technical database.
Designed ESP pumps for DST tests using assumed data, for final design using output data from well testing.
Supervised DST for exploration wells, production test, injectivity test, PLT and FSI for horizontal wells.
Performed production allocation for all the fields by using Avocet capture.
Used cased hole formation resistivity tool (RST-C, RST-D) to monitor OWC rise and water saturation profiles; monitoring of water flooding using inter-well tracer techniques.
Reservoir Engineering Experience
October2010-October2013
Reservoir Eng working for Akakus oil operations. Formerly Repsol (Libya), working in B&K fields NC-186, Sand-Stone Reservoir and Horizontal wells where more than 45 wells are drilled annually in all the concession, and currently producing 103,000 bopd.
Interpreted Pressure transient analysis: build-up, drawdown, multi-rate, interference tests, long term tests, PI, fall-off test, etc., using software (Pansystem and Kappa).
Proposed infill wells in B & K NC-186. Some wells have been drilled and completed with results as expected.
Selected and interpreted RFT points in new well drilled to determine the OWC and layer pressure depletion.
Designed, executed, interpreted and reported the result of new well production and injectivity tests. More than 10 wells have been designed with lead to have a proper pump design in J&H-NC-186 Fields.
Monitored the performance of oil fields using: Pressure surveys; production logging to monitor water cut, depleted reservoir horizons and injectivity performance; cased hole formation resistivity tool (CHFR & RST) to monitor OWC rise and water saturation profiles.
Performed Reservoir management by meant of Water flooding.
Performed monthly production and Injection balance (voidage ratio) for
A, H, D& J NC 186. Designed a control sheet that was used as a tool of surveillance to optimize the production at desired pressure.
Proposed programs and interpret PLT result to producer-injector with multilayer reservoir in order to see the production injection contribution. Over 7 wells have been conducted and resulted in a better understanding of field behavior.
Used of material balance calculation to have a better understanding of reservoir behavior and also predict the future field performance.
Designed and interpreted the interference test to specific correspondence producer-injector.
Designed an integrated performance review: including static (electrical log, core, perforation interval and structure map) and dynamic data (PVT, production and pressure data). Used Petrel to prepare simulation study.
Reviewed the CCA and SCAL report and analyze the data to be used for material balance and reservoir simulation includes:
HU identification (petrophysical model)
Capillary Pressure and Relative permeability refinement.
Review PVT Experiment report and correct the differential vaporization data with the separator test data in order to be inputted into reservoir simulation.
Estimation of reserves using conventional techniques, volumetric method, decline curve and material balance using software (MBAL).
Prepared estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume.
Applied the concept of hydraulic flow units (HFU's), global hydraulic units (GHU's) to predict permeability profiles in uncored intervals/wells for the purpose of simulation model.
Analyzed long and short term reservoir performance with view to achieving company targets, maximizing NPV of the reserves in accordance with the company policies on reservoir management.
Strong experience in reservoir management which include data gathering and analysis, reservoir performance review, well monitoring and STOIIP.
Prepared scope of work and managed the implementation of multidisciplinary integrated reservoir studies including formation damage, under balance drilling, PVT and SCAL.
Conducted predevelopment simulation study for B field which includes:
oBuilt and run Static and Dynamic model using Petrel and Eclipse
Performed uncertainty analysis utilizing experimental design approach.
Forecasted future performance prediction to optimize the well count and location.
Executed Sensitivity analysis.
Prepare Monthly Letter and Production-Injection report for NOC as a summary production and reservoir engineering activity for the month.
prepare the TCM material and perform the TCM meeting presentation to both NOC and partner.
Acted as Reservoir Engineers team leader.
