3B, Inc. / 3B S.p.A Danville, Kentucky / Salgareda, Italy; September 2007 to March 2008

3B SpA is the largest supplier of IKEA International. The IT department supports 1000+ users. Production units work 3 4 shifts, 24hrs, 6 days/week. IT and automation systems are absolutely vital to operations must be up 100% or production stops. 3B SpA recruited me to expertly coordinate a team of developers for a premiere online ordering/manufacturing system, using Microsoft Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) and other web technologies for this well known Italian/American manufacturer reporting annual sales volume of over $150 million. Designed, established, and troubleshot the new system for the American market, headquartered in Kentucky. Key objectives of this six-month project included a vast improvement in the order entry of hundreds of customized orders, avoiding order confirmation through signed faxes, allowing changes before production, increasing customer satisfaction, and improving back office efficiency in order to achieve a paperless office. Data Flow: synchronization of Client's Master Data from Navision, data entry, process orders with a product configurator for feasibility, approving cycle, production via Computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) and Computer aided manufacturing (CAM) in the Kentucky plant.

Infrastructure Planning and Design: streamlined the design processes for planning and implementing Microsoft infrastructure technologies. Plant automation.

Collaborated with purchasing offices to procure necessary hardware and software to realize the project within budget. Supervised and validated other products from the IT teams.
