Job Responsibilities:
Executing Process Safety Studies for FMCG/ Chemical Plants.
Coordinating the take of complete vendor selection of process equipments.
Developing the Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
Performing line sizing and Pressure drop calculations; and feasibility studies.
Preparing Data Sheets, Design Basis and documents relating to Safety equipment technical specifications.

Highlighted achievements:
Effective team member of variety of projects for major companies namely Proctor & Gamble (P&G), Kellogs and Duracell batteries.
Had a major role in the execution of Definition, Detail engineering and Process Safety Study of Fabric Enhancer Project for P&G, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Devised a sheet to find if a tank was explosion proof or not, thus reducing the time for the same, from 2 minutes, on an average, to 30 seconds.
In the 7N KOH Project for Duracell Batteries, in Lagrange, USA, a new calculation sheet was devised to check the adequacy of relief valve according to API-526 instead of checking it manually, and was approved by the client. Manually, it took 3 minutes to calculate the adequacy of a relief valve. The newly devised sheet gave results instantly after giving the values as input, in less than 30 seconds. This reduced the activity time for checking relief valve adequacy, as a single project would contain numerable number of relief valves. The manhours gained due to this, helped a resource to do the selection of relief valves, instead of depending on the vendor for the same, thus making our selection more accurate.
Successfully executed Process Safety Management for P&G Fabric Care plant in Baddi, India; which included maintaining the database of all the Safety items in the entire plant, its frequency of checking, and when next it should be checked.

Design of Recycle Column Reboiler at Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited, Kochi – The plant produces Phenol and Acetone, using raw materials, Benzene and Propylene. Scope included the detailed process and mechanical design of a Thermo siphoning reboiler, of the Recycle column, that separates the products from raw material, Benzene.
Plastic reinforced Concrete mixtures – This project included the incorporation of the right percentage of shredded plastic in concrete road tar, and studying the enhanced properties of the mixture for less water absorption.
