Work Description (Responsibilities):

oManage the Mechanical Maintenance function ensuring that all plant equipment is maintained to its good working conditions and undertake continual improvement of the system and processes.

oPlan all mechanical activities on a monthly, weekly and daily basis within the context of the annual maintenance program of the Department.

oSchedule maintenance activities on a weekly and daily basis and adjust schedules depending on criticality and urgency of the work required.

oSupervise that maintenance works are consistently done (with minimal reworks) within the reasonably acceptable response time required by end users of the equipment.

oConduct coordination meeting with the Mechanical Supervisors and their internal customers regularly to ensure availability of resources e.g., spares, manpower, tools during their times of need.

oOrganize technical on-the-job training including external training conducted by suppliers to continually improve the skills competency of all mechanical technicians and welders;

oResponsible for continual improvement of system and processes to save costs such as recycling of spare parts and other time and spare parts and lubrication oil saving exercises.

oMonitor the performance of all subordinates on regular basis on-wards to performance appraisal and conduct counseling immediately as a mitigating action to correct undesired attitudes or habits.

oResponsible for giving the proper motivation of subordinates to ensure safety and quality of their work.

oPerform other functions not limited to tasks related to the job such as committee and cross training functions if designated.

oOverall Mechanical Maintenance in charge of GE Alstom Steam Turbine DKY2-1N34 including spare parts monitoring and procurement.

oMonitors team and plant performance by reviewing all daily activity reports of shifts and ensuring that any deviation is addressed. Corrective and preventive actions are identified and implemented, and emerging equipment trends are identified, analyzed, and addressed.

oPrepare and efficiently implement annual shift work schedule to ensure manpower availability for plant operation.

oApproves plant nomination to dispatch team and ensures compliance to said nomination.

oEnsures timely execution of minor and major preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and machines.

oPrepare and recommend annual budget for the operations and maintenance of the plant. Review the annual mid-year budget.

oSecure damage reports via Maximo Service Request by the operations department for proper coordination and assignments for action. Plans priority maintenance scheduled for the day according to degree of damage documented.

oPrepares the mechanical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on every major mechanical failure to document all corrective actions done.

oPlans the preventive maintenance schedule monthly and generate work orders from the Maximo CMMS and designated activities to Mechanical Maintenance Work Groups.

oChecks the availability and condition of the reconditioned spare parts to ensure continuous plant operation.
