9/14 – present Director of Human Resources – Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort and YVE Hotel

Manage the Human Resources function for renovating, re-branding 631 room iconic resort; in addition liaise with Nobu Restaurants during the merger of hotel and restaurant operations. Supervise a staff of three for the Eden Roc, in addition to overseeing the conversion and HR operation of 250 room YVE Hotel in downtown Miami. Partner with HR team and leadership to develop innovations to attract and retain great talent, enhance service standards and inspire associate morale. Personally manage all litigation relating to Worker’s Compensation and EEOC claims. Strategize with senior leadership to improve financials through annual budget planning, monthly forecasting and expense management. Successes: Re-staffed Eden Roc Sales team within 3 months; championed project to digitize files in both properties; re-established the credibility, integrity and open-door policy of HR department.

9/08 - 8/14 Area Director of People and Culture – Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants of Florida

Responsible for directing the cultural cornerstones for four Florida Properties: EPIC Hotel (300 staff), Surfcomber South Beach Hotel (135 staff), Vero Beach Hotel & Spa (150 staff) and the Anglers Resort (50 staff) through recruiting, training and fostering an environment of self-leadership and creativity. Provide all managers and hourly staff with Human Resources generalist support. Actively contribute to financial, sales and operational decisions for hotels and restaurants. 4/06 - 9/08 Director of Human Resources – Le Méridien, Sunny Isles Beach

Responsible for directing the Human Resources department for 215-room, 4-diamond luxury condominium Starwood Hotels’ resort. Manage one Coordinator in all Generalist duties. As Executive Committee member, insure that the Leadership Team executes hotel philosophy in championing customer service, managing expenses and process improvement. Transition the hotel to Starwood Hotels & Resorts benefits, policies and procedures. Lead the training efforts and BE SAFE program. Successes: Attained and average of 90% Overall Satisfaction for two years in the Associate Opinion Survey, with 98% participation; reduced accidents year over year with a savings of 40K the first year; balanced Insurance billing to 100% accuracy and timeliness.

Responsible for the overall Human Resources function for a 229 suite-hotel. Recruit, hire and train all staff. Manage the overall daily operations of the HR office for the Director of Human Resources for 349-room hotel. Oversee recruiting, staffing and payroll. Develop and implement on-going Customer Service and Safety programs, conduct weekly Orientation, direct Safety Committee, manage Worker’s Compensation and ensure OSHA compliance. Respond to Unemployment claims and attend hearings as needed. Conduct benefits enrollment and manage Performance Reviews.
