I was first hired at AFTCO, a financial transition firm for dentists desiring to buy or sell practices, as an administrative assistant. I was later promoted to the role of assistant coordinator. We are a nationwide company with the home office located in Roswell. We have analysts in every state, and I assisted our two senior coordinators with each transition. Chili’s Grill & Bar
Host/Key Manager
March 2013-August 2014
I began working at Chili’s as a host and was very shortly offered a key position, which essentially translated into being the acting floor manager for those particular shifts. I was also named to the store’s training team. As host, my duties included creating a welcoming environment for all guests and working with my other teammates to ensure that the guest has an amazing experience. As key, I strived to maintain the cleanliness of the store, aid the servers on the computer system when needed, and mingle with the guests to make them feel cared for while in the restaurant. As a trainer, I walked each new host through the necessary corporate guidelines, taught them how to be inviting, and guided them through both the initial and ongoing process of being a confident team member.

My responsibilities included overseeing all progress of the editorial content, supervising writers and photographers to ensure that deadlines were met, assigning stories, regularly writing my own articles, finding suitable material to fill text and photo holes, finding fresh and reliable contributors, editing all submitted text, proofing pages before the magazines went to press, and working closely with the publisher and designer to generally uphold the quality of both publications.
