Academic Projects
Modal Analysis of Composite Leaf Spring, University of Michigan- Dearborn
Conducted a vibration analysis on leaf spring of a heavy vehicle using modal analysis vibrations at different nodes in ANSYS workbench, results are obtained.
Study Process Involved In Manufacturing of KILNS, Kitti Industries Private Ltd.
Studied various process used in manufacturing of KILNS, how an iron sheet of certain thickness is rolled into specified radius according to customer needs, under the manufacturing process learnt about various undestructive testing methods.
Design, Materials and Manufacturing of a Turbocharger- University of Michigan- Dearborn.
Studied about the turbocharger, materials involved and the manufacturing procedure. The alternative materials are suggested to manufacture the turbocharger and its parts.
The Unmanned Warfare Vehicle- CVSR College of Engineering
Built a prototype robot which works on a microcontroller with a microprocessor chip, it has three arms where each arm has angle of rotation, to those arms a camera is mounted we have used a rack pinion arrangement for the movement of arms all these arms are built on a base of the robot, I have learnt how to weld parts of the robot and how to assemble each parts of the robot.
CAE ANSYS Simulation and Modal of Steel - University of Michigan- Dearborn
Conducted modal analysis on a steel frame using ANSYS work bench, created the model in ANSYS, analysis was done on the software and the results were compared with experimental modal analysis results.
Transmission Loss of Muffler in ANSYS workbench – University of Michigan- Dearborn
Conducted an analysis on transmission loss of muffler using harmonic response in ANSYS workbench where the model was imported from CATIA to workbench to perform analysis and the results were compared with analytic calculations.
Estimation of stress Intensity Factor using FEA – University of Michigan- Dearborn
Stress intensity factor was calculated at the tip of a center cracked plate and results were procured changing the crack length using ABAQUS.
Stress analysis on an Elevated bridge Structure using FEA- University of Michigan- Dearborn
Designing of bridge structure in ABAQUS which would achieve the most efficiency through iterations and to set a maximum load limit to the bridge by reducing the weight of the bridge.
NVH Lab Testing
Frequency Response Function Measurement (FRF)
Perform FRF Measurement and to identify the lag magnitude, real values and phase angles at resonant frequencies.
Experimental Modal Analysis of Flat Plate
Perform experimental modal analysis of free flat plate with 16 nodes values and identified the resonant frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes(bending and torsional shapes).
Order Tracking and Sound Quality Exercises
Conducted order tracking measurement and sound filter to improve the sound quality and order number of the engine.
Absorption Coefficient of Porous Material using Impedance Tube Sound Field Identification using Sound Pressure Level Meter
Acoustical material absorption measurement using impedance tube and various sound fields of a sound source in an anechoic chamber.
Acoustic Intensity Testing and Analysis
Sound intensity map will be created over the sound source image and determined dominant region and dominant frequency ranges of noise source.
Internships:
DTH (Down the Hole) Hammers – Sai Deepa Rock Drills (SDRD)
Intern, Quality and Assurance Department
My role was to review all designs according to drawings from turning stage to final stage components of a DTH hammer using various measuring instruments and sending it to the next stage of machining process.
