I) Maintenance of Polypropylene Plant (1999 to 2004) : As a team member, participated in solving hardware problems, de-bottleneck and execution of modification schemes enabling Plant operation at 160% of design capacity from 60% at the time of taking charge of mechanical maintenance. II) Commissioning & Operations of Off sites and Utilities for new PP & PBR plants (!996 to 1999): Commissioned new facilities involving air separation plant, Butadiene storage, cooling water system and fire protection system. Also commissioned extension of feed stock lines and utilities from existing network.Interesting being hook up and commissioning of flare system with existing flare for other plant. The main cracker and downstream plants were commissioned in late seventies, new Polypropylene plant

(PP plant) and Poly Butadiene Rubber plant (PBR plant) were put up and commissioned in 1996. Had been Project Coordinator for feedstock, offsites and utilities for these new plants.New generation facilities were created where no margins with existing facilities were available. I) Rotating Machinery Cell (1984 to 1989): Performance monitoring and trouble shooting of rotating machinery in Polypropylene, Low Density Poly Ethylene, Co Polymer Poly Propylene, Poly Butadiene Rubber, Petroleum Resin, Vinyl Chloride / Poly Vinyle Chloride, Acrylonitrile and Acrylic Fibre plants. II) Plant Maintenance (Nov 1977 to June 1984): Associated with mechanical erection, trial runs and commissioning of of first Polypropylene plant. Improved reliability and on stream availability of equipment. III) Graduate Engineer Trainee (Nov 1975 to Nov 1977) Exposure in maintenance of Xylenes, DMT, Cracker unit, ACN and PP project.
