2015 – Present Substitute Teacher
Pitt County Schools
I work as a non-certified Substitute teacher in the 34 schools of the Pitt County School system. As a Substitute teacher I am responsible for executing the lesson plans of the regular teacher for each selected class. Those lesson plans can be for students any grade level from kindergarten to High School Senior. I am responsible for promoting an environment for learning that matches what the students would normally experience with their regular teacher. As a substitute I am also responsible for covering any additional responsibilities of the regular teacher as assigned by the school administration.
2014 – Present Driver (part-time)
Enterprise Rental Cars
I work as part of a team of selected drivers who support the rental portion of Enterprise Rent-a-Cars. As an on-call driver I am responsible for moving Enterprise owned vehicles from location to location to ensure the rental needs of each Enterprise rental location from Raleigh to the coast and from Elizabeth City to Wilmington is served.

I was responsible for assisting with a 4th grade student with ODD (Occupational Defiant Disorder). This assignment included but was not limited to working to keep the assigned student from being disruptive to the classroom learning environment. If the student became disruptive I was authorized to remove him from the classroom and assist him in getting calm down and if necessary assist him in doing his assigned work one-on-one.

I was responsible for primary support for the CICS online portion of a Retail Loans system. This support included designing, coding and maintaining programs to meet the line of business required modifications for internal programming as well as modification to vendor supplied code. My work has included developing all the necessary adaptor programs to connect our front-end server based system for our enterprise-wide branching network to our legacy vendor software. I am also responsible for developing an adaptor that is currently used to support our Online Account Opening (OAO) system. My work has involved developing multiple interfaces of the vendor software with other in-house integrated applications.

I was responsible for online and batch support for the Child Support Enforcement application (ACTS). My work was with a NC project team who worked with a vendor (IBM) and built using Cobol and DB2. My primary focus was to develop and support system interfaces with DMV (STARS), Clerk of Court and Department of Revenue.

I was responsible for online and batch support for Service Call Administration. Primary focus was supporting engineers who services telephony products throughout our user base. My role involved coding, design and maintaining software as well as training engineers how to use it. I was also involved in the transition to a C++, OOP and RDBMS system application delivery project.
