Recruited by bank president; multiple responsibilities for this nine-branch lending institution targeting the Ag and SBA markets:
New business development: market the bank’s lending services to agricultural and small business/industrial clients in the greater Winnsboro area. Built a large network of Ag and small business referral sources with organizations such as the city and county Chambers of Commerce.
Evolved into the bank’s special assets expert, managing a $15M portfolio of at-risk FSA/SBA loans; notable success in lowering risk exposure through negotiation of win-win work out terms, and finding buyers for foreclosed properties. Extensive use of Excel and Farm Equity Manager Software.
Perform appraisals and inspections of collateral for both potential new loans and at-risk existing notes.
Administer all aspects of delinquency collections activities, handle all FSA and SBA claims, and represent bank at bankruptcy hearings.
