ACADEMIC PROJECTS & EXPERIENCE

Circular hole-crack analysis in a finite plate, April’15

Wayne State University, Detroit.

To determine the stress intensity factor at the crack tip using Fracture Mechanics.

Compare the analytical results with FE simulation.

Model was created using Hypermesh tool.

Abaqus tool was used to accomplish this task.

Crack length was varied and the results were compared.

Rollover Analysis of Ford Taurus, Nov’14-Dec’14

Wayne State University, Detroit.

The model was analysed using LS-Dyna solver.

Performed quasi-static roof crash analysis based on FMVSS and NHTSA procedure.

Roof crash effect was generated using Hypermesh tool.

Completed dynamic drop simulation based on Malibu II procedure.

Design and Analysis of Equal Channel Angular Press, April’14

Wayne State University, Detroit.

Model was created using Hypermesh tool.

Successfully executed designing and analyzing ECAP with different fillet radii and also conducted thermal analysis with the aid of Abaqus tool.

Under Graduate Thesis- “Fatigue strength modelling of HCHCr steel specimen”. Jan’12-May’12

The coolant pipe was embedded into the tool at its tip, so that there is no contact of the cooling fluid with the work piece.

Determined the fatigue strength by varying parameters such as mass flow rate of coolant and diameter of coolant pipe.

The experimental results were compared with the aid of Artificial Neural Network.
