Senior Human Resources Manager – US Army – Executive Level Position
Providing HR services to 5 mid-sized companies employing 800 Servicemembers
SR HR Manager, 2008 to Present (60 hrs/pwk)
Senior HR Manager leading a department of 20 administrators; responsible for the implementation, execution, and sustainment of administrative matters for a company of 800 employees. Provide services to 5 mid-sized companies geographically disperse throughout the State of Nevada. Draft internal policies for the purposes of information flow, processing requirements, and to sustain the efficiency of the organization. Inspect company managers in the processes requirements of State and Federal guidelines.
Key Results:
Mandated a 50% increase in department’s workforce to meet the needs of its servicemembers. Lobbied for funding through man-hour analysis, program management, and the CEOs projected priorities. End result – increased the workforce to better service employees; received $50K annually to meet IT and hardware resource needs; reduced pay and service record discrepancies that save the organization millions of dollars in a span of 3 years.
Implemented the first inspection program in the company that resulted in the best marks of efficiency received by any organization in the Nevada Military Department. Through training, enforcement, and clear projected goals the company managers were able to prove their relevance in all administrative matters.
Compose all administrative letters of instructions to add clarity to the vast state and federal requirements. This was accomplished by disseminating easy to follow instructions on the intent of the program, its processes, and named respondents for each program. Careful considerations were given to planning, resourcing, and execution of all administrative requirements.
Created the first Reserve Administrative Assistance Group in the company. This group comprised of reserve administrators able to assist low level company managers in administrative shortfalls within their organization. End result – allowed for CEO to alleviate complex and time consuming administrative requirements not able to be completed by low level company managers; assisted remotely stationed companies with proper and timely assistance when the need arose; eventually it was utilized as a training force.
Foster an environment of teamwork among all other departments within the organization. Initially a hard sell among senior executives due to competing priorities, such as logistics, communication, and training. Lobbied for administrative concerns while not restricting other mission essential requirements.

Promoted to position after a 6 month internship with company. Selected by CEO, out of a group of 5 interns, to lead the administrative department. Fulfilled a broad range of HR functions with the following results:

Restructured the Company’s Manning Requirements. *Release 25% of the workforce of all non-essential personnel to create vacancies for new hires. Restructuring also included retraining of qualified personnel into new positions critical to mission success.
Enhanced the company’s automated tracking systems. It streamlined the recording of training events within the organization; tracked formal schooling requirements for each individual employee; digitized all financial and pertinent service records of employees; enabled easy transition to new incoming HR manager.
Created the first Health and Welfare Fund in the company. Solved administrative and legal challenges that impeded the CEOs from implementing the program in the past. End result: morale and welfare of employees improved tremendously by administering funds to those in need within the organization.
