Objective

Summary of Qualifications
A competent professional with over 25 years of experience providing above standard technical guidance to subordinates on diagnosing automotive system faults at the organizational maintenance level. Current duties include maintenance and repair on various types of semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Duties range from simple services to complete component overhauls. Military background of providing service, repair and rebuild of a wide variety of heavy and light wheel diesel engine vehicles. Types of heavy vehicles include all variants of MRAP, all 800/900 series 5ton, 2 ton, LMTV, FMTV, M977, M978, M984, PLS, HETTs M1070, trailers M1000, M915 and M916. Types of light wheel vehicles include M997, M998, M1025/26, M1097, M1114 and M1116 tactical models. Full suspension upgrades with cross member reinforcement kits and all safety MWO per model. Refurbishing and installing AOA upgrades and armor fragment kits, as well as turret system mod. Troubleshooting to component level, isolating and identifying causes of malfunctions, operating vehicles for diagnosis and inspection purposes, interpreting schematic diagrams and completing applicable maintenance forms and records. Currently hold interim SECRET security clearance.
Supervision
Provided technical guidance to junior grade personnel in troubleshooting, diagnosing, identifying the causes of malfunctions, replacing and repairing parts. Conducted on-the-job training. Determined the proper tools and equipment used for a particular job. Operated equipment for inspection purposes to insure equipment was functioning within proper limits.
Troubleshooting and Diagnosing
Successfully identified faults using technical manuals and schematic diagrams. Thoroughly diagnosed electrical systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems on turbine and diesel engines using standard and alternate test equipment.
Preventive Maintenance
Inspected vehicles for possible faults during normal and abnormal conditions. Checked sealing, waterproofing, lubricating, replacing worn out parts or parts that showed signs of a possible problem to cause more damage if waiting to replace.
Engine/Trans Repair
Demonstrated excellent maintenance of engines and transmissions. Repaired and/or replaced complex parts on turbine and diesel engines. Adjusted and serviced electrical components. Experience on wide variety of diesel engines to include Cummins and CAT 13, 15
Service
Replaced various air, oil and fuel filters. Calculated readings and percentages on engines, transmissions and control units of vehicle to ensure full operations.
Electrical Systems
Diagnosed and replaced or repaired electrical components and wiring harnesses to ensure proper operation of the vehicle using diagnostic test equipment.
