JOB SUMMARY

- Responsible for the supervision & conduct daily ocular inspection regarding

road construction works.

- Check the workmanship and materials for conformity with respect to the, drawings, specification and site instructions.

- Check the reinforcement with respect to the drawings and inform the

Resident Engineer and the Contractor of any discrepancies in which

inspection must be carried out prior to the installation of formworks

which would impede access to the steel.

- Prepare a written list of any points which may require attention,in con-

junction with an Engineer, where the Contractor have requested for inspection and ensure that all comments are being done before any approval prior to form works installation, concreting works or earth works as the case maybe.

- Check the levels of foundation of any structure in the project before

concreting or placing of lean concrete if necessary (or earlier if any

extra excavation is involved),and to inform the Resident Engineer of

any significant discrepancies.

- To keep a daily diary recording the weather, the work in progress, inspections carried out, concrete placed, movement of key plant, points of special difficulty or contention, and other items of special interest.

- Attend and witness operations like pilling, prestressing, concreting, etc.

- Attend during concreting and to ensure that the workmanship is satisfactory, observe the formworks and to check the workability of the concrete.

- Cooperate with the contractor in any reasonable way to obtain efficient and economical plant operation consistent with production of mixture of satisfactory quality, within the limits of specification.

- To inform the contractor when mixture or conditions violate the specifications

and disapproved subsequent production if corrections are not made

JOB SUMMARY

( FABRICATION, TRIAL ASSEMBLY& ERECTION) :

- Responsible for monitoring of fabrication works, trial assembly, erection works and other duties and responsibilities detailed by the Project Manager.

- Review all shop drawings released & approved by the consultant (SIRR) and finalizing before handing over to sub-contructor (SinoThai) prior to fabrication.

- Prepare cutting plans & material takeoff intended for unit fabrication of the fallowing structure:. external beams, internal beams i.e. (longitudinal & transverse) & joint splice plates as per plans & specifications.

- Conduct random examination of the fabricator processes or product for verification of comformance with contract requirements.

- Supervising preparation of jiggs and lay outing works for fabrication of bridges unit members as fallows: box girders,internal/transverse beams, longitudinal beams as well as external beams.

- Prepare inspection report such as dimensional before & after welding, (NDT) such as VT,MT & UT, for which the project main requirements for fabrication.

- Supervise assembly works by conducting dimensional inspection, elevation checking, alignment & camber before fit-up prior to full welding works for one segment of the bridge.

- Supervise preparation & assembly of 8-units Erection Gantries by subcontractor VSL to be used in lifting / erection of bridges partial deck unit weighing ranges from 400tons – 500tons.

- Conduct survey works by taking the exact locations,elevations & alignment of the setting beams used in the erection of the connection boxes to the 4-Pylon side of the Cable Stay Bridges.

- Check/prepare all necessary tools & equipment for bridge deck unit erection & joint works i.e bolt installation & fit-up.

- Supervising erection works, by assisting subcontractor VSL for heavy lifting job, involving 400tons to 500tons of load with respect to the partial deck unit erection activities, which may require thorough checking to prevent any untoward incident & to maintain safety in the site of work.

- Conduct ocular inspection with (SIRR) inspectors for bridge connection joint High Strength Friction Grip Bolts installation, preliminary & final tightening before acceptance, reference to the required specification.
