Summary:
My name is Laura Ensign. I have worked for the same company since 2006. I briefly left the company in 2006 when I had my first child. I returned in January 2008. During my time at Jack’s Family Restaurants Inc., I have worked in many different departments.
I was an office assistant from May 2006 to October 2006. This included filing paperwork in employee files and being a receptionist.
Upon my return in January 2008, I worked in the store sales department. This includes balancing deposits on an excel spreadsheet and posting to the General Ledger. I also coded and entered in paid outs. I added and deleted fixed assets as well. I was then promoted to Payroll Coordinator. This entailed entering information from new hire packets, keying in bank account information for direct deposits. I also completed employment verification requests. I have worked with the ABRA and HRMS payroll systems.
I learn very quickly and was promoted to Employee Benefits Coordinator in September of 2011 and still currently hold this job position. We have approximately 4500 employees. It is my job to ensure all employees who qualify receive benefit packets and to enroll them on the BCBS of Alabama website. Also set up their deductions in our payroll system.
