Contracted to the U.S. Army’s Counterintelligence Division to provide senior leadership as part of a team of counterintelligence support specialists tasked with performing comprehensive screenings of Host Country Nationals and Third Country Nationals seeking access to secured military facilities.

INTELLIGENCE COLLECTION ACTIVITIES: Conduct various information-gathering techniques, such as interviews and database research, in order to collect various information used to ascertain the intent and validity of non-authorized personnel seeking access to authorized/restricted military facilities. Produce timely written reports summarizing findings and present reports to counterintelligence team leads for further consideration. Input new data into corresponding databases, e.g., Palantir, and website portals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and run reports, as requested, in support of CI teams and Counterintelligence Support Teams, as warranted. Analyze collected information and arrive at preliminary recommendations regarding an applicant’s eligibility to enter authorized areas.

SECURITY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Conduct Preliminary Credibility Assessment Screening System (PCASS) exams in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan. Engage in face-to-face interviews with personnel to collect biometric data, such as political opinions, religious beliefs, and vices. Identify any inconsistencies that arise during the interviews in the written report summarizing the interview process. Schedule and conduct polygraph tests, and review comprehensive inspections of an applicant’s telecommunications records. Debrief personnel, coordinate with installation units/personnel, and support Operations Security (OPSEC)/Subversion and Espionage Directed Against the US Army (SAEDA) awareness programs.

REPORTING: Use database and established templates to build comprehensive reports summarizing recommendations to military decision makers regarding the risk level of granting access to the applicants to secured military facilities. Present routine updates on project statuses and operating matters to military leaders and project managers. Compile statistical reports and analysis on assigned intelligence activities.

LEADERSHIP/CONSULTATION: Liaise with authorized counterparts and colleagues throughout the Intelligence Community (IC) assigned to the Area of Responsibility (AOR) regarding workload distribution, best practices, problem solving, and policy clarification.

Contracted to the U.S. Army’s Counterintelligence Division to staff a division stationed in austere conditions tasked with performing comprehensive screenings of Host Country Nationals and Third Country Nationals seeking access to secured military facilities.
