EXPERIENCE
Research Intern at Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI)
(November 2014- May 2015).
Research Intern at Toyota Kirloskar Pvt.Ltd, Bangalore (Dec 2012- March 2013). PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Design and Simulation of Solar Thermal Air Conditioning System for Office Buildings
(May 2015)
The main focus of this work was modeling and simulating solar air conditioning system for an office building in Gandhinagar using the transient software TRNSYS.Parametric analysis was performed to optimize the key parameters. This analysis was able to predict the long-term performance of a solar cooling system without actually performing expensive prototype or full- scale testing.
Performance Augmentation of Solar Flat Plate Collectors by using Fresnel lens (May 2014) This project involved evaluating the performance of the flat plate collector by integrating it with an array of Fresnel lenses over the glazing of the collector setup. Experiments were performed for different day number of the year and system efficiency was compared with and without Fresnel lens. This paper was presented in World Renewable Energy Congress (WREC) held in September 2014.
Characterization of Ground Water and Surface Water Quality of Sitteri Lake and its surroundings at Arakonam-Vellore District Tamil Nadu (November 2013) This project involved the sampling of the Sitteri Lake at different points and the water sample analysis using standard methods; the qualitative analysis was done and suitability of water for drinking were determined and thereby studied the impacts of the lake on the surrounding areas. Defect Analysis and Improvement of Door Dolly Conveyance Leading to Overall Reduction of Innova and Fortuner Door Surface Defects - Toyota Kirloskar Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore
(May 2013)
This project involved the redesigning and modifying the existing door dolly bushes that had failed quality inspection to minimize the surface defects on the Toyota car doors. Software such as Auto CAD was used to design the bushes and ANSYSto analyze stresses and deformation. The company had accepted the proposal to implement the suggested solution. Design and Fabrication of Automatic Side Stand Retriever (May 2012) This project involved the design and fabrication of an automatic side stand retriever for geared vehicles using sprocket arrangement, modeling of the system using software such as AutoCAD and Pro-E.
