Project:
oSenior project- Redesigning of the cooling system energy stationary compressor by increasing robustness and efficiency of the package while keeping the total cost to a minimum. The cooling system must fit within the 62" x 34.5" x 61.5" package. The cooler package must withstand a vertical 3G load. The forecasted sales for 2016 will be approximately 700 units.
oEngineering Analysis- Analyzed a quarter car model to determine the appropriate spring stiffness, tire stiffness, and the suspension damping coefficient that would correspond to an acceptable level of oscillation.
oFluid Power- Analyze and develop the system and pump curves for the provided pump by running the system at four different flow conditions and measuring the differential pressures across each pipe.
oFluid Mechanics- Designed a basement dual sump pump that would protect against flooding, as well as determining the total head loss across the system to estimate the required pump horsepower.
