I am interested in acquiring a acquiring a position in Front Desk Services
with a distinguished hotel. Although over the past several years I have
worked in education; mostly due to the compatibility with school age
children's school schedule, My B.A. degree is in business. I spent fifteen
years in the business arena and I have never lost my passion. My cover
letter will give some highlights of what my business endeavors were, but my
resume will give more details
For the past fur years, I have served primarily as the 4th/5th grade
teacher, middle school science, Bible, P.E and Spanish lesson coordinator
for Flagstaff Community Christian School. Additionally, I chaired our
school wide annual Science Fair and organized and selected candidates to
represent FCCS at the Regional Science Fair; introduced and chaired FCCS
"Appreciating Cultural Diversity Celebration". This school year, it was a
pleasure to participate as an ACSI Accreditation Team Member for the
Christian Academy of Prescott Az. Also, while completing 54 hours and 9
units in The Essential Elements of Instruction; along with the completion
of Arizona's "Wet Project" Science Workshop.
As a regional supervisor and facilitator for an afterschool intervention
educational program I assisted my Site Coordinators in achieving and
maintaining state mandated enrollment and attendance numbers and weekly
audits for food services. Over a six month period, seven out of eight
perfect attendance awards were given to Site Coordinators whom I
supervised. I conducted site parent/teacher surveys for the purpose of
quality improvement and analysis of our program, planned, developed and
conducted weekly training meetings, submitted weekly regional reports to my
immediate supervisor and Assist CEO, conducted and reported weekly audits
and quarterly state audits, performed weekly site visits to assess and
document program development and quality to yield support to programs that
were experiencing specific difficulties. I committed to personal
improvement and development by attending training meetings with my company,
school district, and state.
I taught second and third grade at, Cornerstone Christian School for eight
years, where I developed and implemented my own intervention program for
students who were at-risk of failing. I worked with the student as well as
the parent to assist in preparing the student for the SAT yearly test. In
Addition, I along with Cornerstone faculty and administration developed and
implemented our school curriculum guide lines, scope and sequence, and self-
study in order to attain both a WASC and ACSI Accreditation. My reports
were submitted days prior to the actual due dates.
As a fitness trainer, I developed and customized exercise and nutritional
programs for my clients. Each client was given a computer print out of a
strategic program which included agreed upon set goals. I maintained
records and charts for my clients to provide visual assessments of their
progress. By developing good relationships with my clients by maintaining
contact via telephone, email, or mail, I was able to grow from a clientele
list of three to fifteen within three months
Owned and operated two ladies clothing stores and a women's exclusive
