To: Prospective employer or contracting entity
Subject: Full-time, temporary or project work
I am a semi-retired accounting professional seeking full-time, project, temporary or part-time
assignments either within the public or private accounting sectors, or for the legal profession.
For non-accounting businesses, I am seeking a position such as accounting manager, controller
or in a similar senior level capacity. I’m even willing to accept a subordinate position (e.g.,
assistant controller) if that would ultimately lead to a promotion.
For accounting firms, I am seeking work involving tax return preparation or review, financial
statement audits, litigation support or forensic work. As my attached resume describes, I have
over four decades of experience primarily within the public accounting arena. And, it is that
degree of dedicated hands-on experience and skills development that has enabled me to produce,
on average, 80% to 90% of billable time within virtually any kind of CPA firm assignment.
For law (or CPA) firms, I am seeking assignments involving all facets of litigation support
services, including bankruptcies, divorce, professional malpractice and forensic investigations. I
have significant experience and expertise within condominium associations as an auditor, budget
director, reserve study analyst and as a court-appointed receiver. I also have many years of
experience in preparing complex guardianship accounting reports. I’ve done numerous
assignments involving highly diverse tax matters, including IRS audits, trust-fund penalty cases,
multiple year tax delinquencies, as well as (CID referred) FBAR related projects.
As to computers, I have decades of experience with QuickBooks, Excel & Word – as well as
having processed literally thousands of returns using ProFX, Ultratax and Lacerte.
After an initial interview, I can provide you with an extensive listing of professional references
including CPA firms, attorneys, business associates and clients.
Sincerely,
Norman Poplowitz
