Egyptian Bahraini Gas Derivatives Co. (NGL Producing Plant)

Process Engineer (2010 – Present)

Participated in different stages including plant design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, plant

startup and till operation. Working in the control room havin g full responsibility of running the plant safely in steady

operation and ensuring the production rate is we maximum recovery while ensuring products are kept according to

the specified qualities.

Duties:

Before Plant Startup:

Reviewing and modifying PFDs, P&IDs, isometric drawings, Datasheets and Cause & Effect diagram.

Contributed in HAZOP study meetings and worked on analyzing the process design systems in order to

ensure the process would run safely.

Inspection of ongoing constructions, preparing punch lists to ensure the constructions are built according to

the previously designed isometrics.

Perform different equipment and vessel inspection and comparing those with their datasheets.

Managed the leak tests (GLT and CLT) to confirm that there are no leaks in the constructed equipment,

vessels and their connecting pipelines.

Cooperate with different vendors in commissioning their related machinery until the machinery is placed

into service.

Starting plant operation and handling the process parameters under the design conditions are met.

After Plant Startup:

Carryout daily field operation tasks in order to increase productivity, enhance product quality, reduce losses

and minimizing operation expenses.

Provide technical assistance, consultation and troubleshooting to project teams to solve critical problems

related to production, operation and system design.

Use simulation packages in order to solve potential operational problems and study process modifications

that would help overcome any troubling issues.

Issuing daily work permits, revising procedures and doing risk assessments, in order to ensure each job is

done properly without any violation to the safety regulations, while avoiding any interference with other

ongoing tasks.

Monitor process conditions from the control room and supervise the related operational personnel.

Daily issuing production reports & process activities to the company’s main head office.

Continuously monitoring the performance of the different equipment, managing change overs and

arranging periodic maintenance dates in order to avoid any deterioration the machineries’ performance.

Responsible for preparing and performing Truck and Tanker loading for shipping operations and issuing

their related reports.
