Assistant Vice President, Healthcare Consulting 1989-1993
During 20 years with this Fortune 200 company, I functioned as senior managing consultant leading numerous
healthcare projects in a wide spectrum of venues. A sampling of consulting engagements includes:
• SKILLED HEALTHCARE: Conducted thirty (30) risk/quality consultations for this publicly traded multi-site long term

risk reduction in operations and resident care.

Joint Commission accreditation in the Middle East. I was engaged on two separate occasions to assess
JCAHO compliance and enterprise-wide risk/quality management for this entity. A component of these
engagements entailed development and provision of a series of educational presentations to nursing and
medical staffs with representation from over forty countries. Extensive reports detailing numerous strategies
were developed and served as a blueprint for program development.
• FLORIDA PATIENT SAFETY CORPORATION (FPSC): Co-authored RFP response and served as managing consultant
for the patient safety program operated by FPSC, a state legislated organization. In that role, I analyzed and
isolated causation factors of reported medical errors submitted by the twenty-eight participant hospitals. I

decision to defer manned space flight. This work was characterized by NASA as “ground breaking.”
• TEXAS CHILDRENS’ HOSPITAL: Conducted enterprise risk management project for this large Texas Medical Center
