I am writing regarding your GIS Technician position. My resume is included

for your review. I believe that I have the required education and

experience to be an excellent fit for this position at the Professional

Technology Integration, Inc. I would appreciate your consideration for this

I have been working with GIS programs for over three years, beginning my

training in an education setting. I have completed the entire Geospatial

Science program at Humboldt State University, however due to recent changes

in the program they are not issuing certificates of completion at this

time. I have included the contact information for Dr. Jim Graham, the head

of the Geospatial Science department in Humboldt State University, as a

reference. During this program I have completed work in a variety of fields

including spatial analysis, fieldwork to verify data, and map production.

The coursework included creation and maintenance of metadata, interpreting

legal descriptions, and most importantly, keeping data organized and error

free.

I have worked with ArcGIS 10.1 extensively over the past three years,

including many of its plug-ins. I also have experience with other

applications, such as AutoCAD, the Microsoft Office suite, the Adobe

Creative Suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop), many relational

databases, and SQL. Additionally, I have had considerable experience

accessing ArcGIS through Python, which allows easy automation of routine

tasks and quick troubleshooting of errors that can occur during long

transformation sequences.

The skills I have gained through my geospatial program are versatile across

many fields and can be readily applied to the range of projects undertaken

by Professional Technology Integration, Inc.
