Experience
Development Coordinator 11/2013 to 02/2015
OSU Foundation – Stillwater, OK
As a coordinator, I served as a liaison between organizations, shareholders and outside organizations. This also included assisting 4 regional development officers in securing private funding for Oklahoma State University given through donations.
I made business phone calls to schedule face to face meetings, completed event drafts
for alumni galas and conferences, and finalized documents of financial
correspondence for prospects and donors according to the foundation standards.
I utilized my research abilities and analyzed data to assist my team in meeting our fiscal needs as well as oversaw each officers budget, expenses, travel and gift processing through accounting procedures.
Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Specialist 02/2012 to 10/2013
Advance Counseling, PC – Edmond, OK
I mentored and provided assistance working with a family/consumer that needed many
resources while creating a treatment plan and case management to help them reach
their potential goals and maintain wellness, such as anger management, behavior
modification, clothing and hygiene.
The above process was achieved by collaborating with community support and services
using the process of linkage, advocacy and referral assistance.
I assisted family/consumer in school setting when requested and I am familiar with the Millennium billing documentation and intake screening process.
Probation Services Supervisor 05/2006 to 10/2013
Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau Oklahoma City, Ok
As supervisor of the probation services department I had the opportunity to work with
a staff of seven employees who assisted in running the drug and alcohol unit,
community service unit, electronic monitoring program, and life skills program. In
each unit I was able get the recidivism rate decreased 56% from 89% previous
years.
One of my contributions was coordinating on site programs for clients on probation
through community agencies; thoroughly screening agencies who were seeking to
work with our clients and families using ACA (American Correction Association)
standards. Thus assisting my department in achieving 100% on the National ACA
audit in 2008 & 2011.
Recruitment, hiring, training, and termination of departmental personnel was also
significant in my role as supervisor.
Achieved 86% recidivism of first time offenders by creating a prevention program
"Cycle of Change", that allowed families to participate in a tour of the detention
center and judges courtroom.
Intake/Diversion Officer 03/ 2003 to 05/2006
Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau Oklahoma City, Ok
I maintained records and documented supervision of juveniles who have entered the
legal system for the first time using the JOLTS (juvenile online tracking system)
database.
I have interviewed individuals or family members to compile information on social,
educational, criminal, institutional, or drug history to assist in filing referrals on juveniles who were repeat offenders.
I met with many youth groups such as AA for teens, Vatterott vocational academy and
Thunderbird youth academy to acquaint them with consequences of delinquent acts
in hopes of preventing them from making the wrong decisions that would enter
them into the juvenile system.
I also referred individuals to public or private agencies for services or assistance to include counseling, mentoring, and community service work sites to assist with
court probation due to violations.
Detention Officer 09/2001 to 03/2003
Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau Oklahoma City, Ok
While being a Detention Officer I provided direct care to juvenile offenders
maintaining safety and security.I monitored facility control panel, doors, cameras, and communicated with law enforcement requesting authorization to bring offenders into the detention facility.
I was experienced enough to be chosen to assist in training and supervision of new
detention officers.
During group I discussed with offenders how such issues as drug and alcohol abuse and
anger management problems might have played roles in their criminal behavior.
I was elected to train MANDT as a self defense mechanism to new staff and assisted in
the reduction of staff worker's comp claims within the agency.
