PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
2004-2014
I have ten years of experience working in food service. This industry is fast-
paced and requires the ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment. My
ability to adapt to ever-changing conditions allowed me to quickly master all
aspects of the business, from server to bartender, line cook, and manager. As a
manager, I supervised approximately 70 employees. My duties included hiring
and firing, overseeing training, payroll and sales reconciliation, and managing
schedules. As a result, I have developed valuable time-management and
priority-management skills, as well as a strong sense of customer service and
communication skills.

MANAGEM
I participated as a top 10 business student performer in an investment committee focused on
ENT
investing a large sum of money in two portfolios: a domestic equity fund based on the S&P 500
GROUP
and an international equity ETF portfolio. I was responsible for the research and investment
recommendations for the international ETF portfolio. Investment decisions for the domestic
fund were based on an investment policy statement laid out by the Tennessee Valley Authority
for its Investment Challenge Program. Investment decisions for the international ETF portfolio
were based on an investment policy statement provided by the University of Alabama in
Huntsville. Highlights of the class include:
• A multi-factor screening process was used for in-depth top-down analysis of stock
selection. Factors encompassed growth and value metrics to create a ranking system to
select equities within sectors for portfolio selection.
• In-depth analysis of financial statements was conducted to establish current and
projected value of each firm.
• Equity selections were then proposed to the investment committee for approval.
• We generated an overall U.S. economic outlook based on leading indicators.
