Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for attending on-site project pre-bid meetings and coordinating with client’s representatives regarding project specification, schedules, program and scope of work particularly on air conditioning system design and ducting installation.

2. Responsible for developing project object objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring to the General Manager.

1. Performed supervisory function and responsible for the preparation of mechanical designs, computation of capacities, and output data of various types of pumps and similar equipment such as deep well, centrifugal, rotary, and reciprocating pumps, cooling ponds, storage tanks, and system accessories and components such as piping, valves such as gate and check valves, flanges, nozzles including monitoring system such as level, pressure and temperature gauges.

2. Responsible for the monitoring of operation all equipment, conducted technical inspection, inventory, and ensuring that all of these are in their highest degree of efficiency so as to maintain the standard quality and quantity of water being circulated in the plant including inspection of waterways from outside source.

3. Responsible for the preparation of material plan, purchase requisitions, manpower, repair & maintenance schedule and plans, GANTT chart, and monitoring of all on-going projects of the department such as drilling of new deep well pumps, rehabilitation and various outsource projects.

4. Responsible for conducting preventive maintenance for equipment by using diagnostic instruments like vibration analyzer, ultrasonic tester, non-conduct thermometer and similar equipment.

5. Responsible for conducting weekly testing of pump output in order to compute the volume of water being circulated in the factory as the basis in material balancing to have the proper account of the water being drawn out and return to the ground before being treated.

6. Responsible for the proper coordination with the factory operation specifically boiler, mill, raw sugar plant, refinery plant, alcohol plant, and other water consumers regarding the required quantity and quality of water including its operational standards, schedule of breakdowns, general cleaning & repairs, stoppages, and other unscheduled shutdowns.

7. Responsible for monitoring containment, BOD, and analysis of treatment of used water considering that these are based on standards set by corresponding government agency for environmental protection.

8. Responsible for coordinating with the consultants and contractors regarding the designs and standards of the projects to be done, making sure that they are within the required specification based on plans provided by the Planning and Engineering Department.
