installation of five refinery heaters at the Marathon major expansion site

subcontract development services on existing coal fired power plants during

their environmental program.

. Provided insight and detailed analysis on outage schedules that provided

a four day improvement to the baseline; allowed the facility to start-up

four days earlier than scheduled; that resulted in improved generation

billings by $4,000,000.

Merck & Company Albany GA - Provided project management, subcontractor and

material management services for Clean Room Modifications and

Process/Chemical Sewer Upgrades. Majority of the work was executed on an

outage basis in a pure room environment.

11/1986 to 4/1989

Manager of Engineering responsible for subcontracts and permit

coordination, A-E coordination, quantity estimates and trending,

scheduling, material control and site liaison with regulatory agencies for

a Waste-to-Energy facility.

. Contaminated materials (soil and water) were encountered during

construction of a power facility. Designed, secured approval from the

environmental agencies, and implemented a process to treat the

contaminated materials on-site. Ultimate benefit was removing the

responsibility (due to RCRA standards) of the contaminated materials at

an off-site landfill or treatment facility. This ultimately saved future

litigation costs related to these contaminated materials.

A.E. Staley Company

Decatur, IL

A.E. Staley is a producer of agriculturally based products including corn

starches, corn oil, high fructose corn syrup and ethanol. Staley was

acquired by Tate & Lyle in 1988 and currently have sales worldwide of over

$6 billion dollars.

Responsible for overseeing new construction, expansions and upgrades at

various site locations related to corn wet milling. Responsibilities

included involvement in the civil and mechanical aspects of these projects,

with emphasis on equipment and food grade piping.

. Re-engineered, planned and implemented plant modifications (tie-ins) at

this facility that were accomplished in one day, saving any subsequent

downtime to the existing facility (plant produced $1,000,000 of sellable

product/day)

New Corn Syrup/Ethanol Facility Loudon TN

. Proposed an alternate design for pipe support materials which saved

$250K.

. Planned and managed: boiler repair, evaporator equipment repairs and

major water piping modifications. All work was fast tracked in the

operating facility. Strategies implemented during the execution of

aforementioned projects saved the facility $5,000,000 in lost operations.
