University of Tennessee GRA 2012.01 Current
Key Achievements:
Developed a ‘Safe route to school’ Virtual Reality program using Kinect sensor and Unity3D game engine to
train the children between 5 and 9 to walk from home to school safely without actually being exposed to danger.
Participated in the Train Simulator project, contributed to an open source project ‘Open Rails’ several features
and functions using C# and MS Virtual Studio, including source code modification and resource file editing.
Android Application Development. Developed Project Eric, an Android mobile application that helps
passengers with disabilities to communicate with drivers on public transportation. This mobile app was unveiled
by the mayor of Knoxville, reported by the local news, and adopted by the city’s public transportation system
Developed a Smart Classroom project, which utilized the Photon Platform to enable the communication
between the smart phone and the computer in the classroom, and facilitated the instructors for their teaching.
