Senior Quality Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain April 2011 to present
Reporting to the Quality Director, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, work directly with outsourcing
manufacturing partners to ensure that all BlackBerry Quality standards are met in the course of the production
process
Redesigned inspection requirements for BlackBerry hardware products through analysis of both factory and
in-market failures. Increased inspection criteria were p laced on critical customer impacting items, while low
occurrence issues were placed on reduced inspection plans. The inspection changes contributed an
immediate $0.07 cost reduction/device.
Led a cross-functional team to design and implement a new packa ging solution for single case shipments of
BlackBerry products. The implementation of the changes cost approximately $6k annually, with a return in
reduced damage and pilferage of product in transit and shipping cost reductions of approximately $100 k per
year.
