I am a healthcare professional with 17 years healthcare IT experience, and

more than 30 years full and part-time clinical practice. My special skills

include project planning, delivery, and implementation, live support, and

education to customers and colleague consultants in clinical software and

reporting. I have particular expertise in creating reports for physicians,

nurses, and clinical managers to help simplify their clinical practices, as

well as performing data queries for troubleshooting, data migration and

software implementations.

I served clients nationwide to develop clinical reports, query SQL for data

extracts, and served as team lead consultant for the firm in Soarian

Clinicals and Financials. I was also engaged to support major software

upgrades and provide Live Event support. During one engagement I trained a

new inexperienced clinical reporting analyst in all techniques required for

work in MS SQL, SAP Crystal Reports, Soarian Clinicals and associated

Siemens applications.

I served clients implementing and upgrading Siemens Soarian Clinicals in

all of the areas cited below during my tenure with Siemens Healthcare, with

emphasis on clinical reporting, and on reports to analyze the state of live

Soarian systems, and systems undergoing implementation.

I served as a senior healthcare systems analyst in the Siemens Healthcare

Managed Services Division, implementing and supporting Soarian Clinicals.

My responsibilities were to:

Create operational and analytical reports in Soarian Clinicals using

Crystal Reports Writer, Microsoft SQL Server, custom stored

procedures, user-defined functions, and direct data queries to provide

clear and precise data, for hard-copy, as metadata or for storage in

an EHR.

. Manage OMS, Job Scheduler and Event Driven Routing (EDR) for Soarian

document routing and management

. Implement and manage Context Sensitive Printing (CSP) to provide

intuitive and efficient access for Soarian users to clinical reports

. Build complex screen and print forms using the Soarian Form

Adaptability Tool. These include columnar and page assessments for

nursing and ancillary services, order detail forms, and customizations

to patient record facesheets

. Perform Soarian Clinicals SIEV error root cause analysis and

resolution, to assure timely and accurate demographic and clinical

data for Soarian users, and high data integrity in the EHR

. Deliver formal classroom training in Soarian Clinical Reporting

. Extract flat files from legacy systems, using Monarch and other

software tools to extract data for Soarian Upload Spreadsheets.

. Create SQL queries and run SQL profiler to troubleshoot security

concerns, report failures, etc.

. Consult with nursing, ancillary healthcare and HIMS professionals to

create dynamic data collection systems to replace paper forms and

processes, including electronic document storage where possible, and

automating the generation of hard copy documentation where required

. Assist customers to define and manage automated routing of forms and

reports to complement their clinical workflows and processes

. Guide and educate customers in weighing criteria for the use of Forms

versus Crystal Reports for the display and storage of data in the

patient EHR, or for hard copy medical records.

Implementation Consultant in the National Implementations Group assigned to

install and support Enterprise Access Directory, the Siemens mainframe

EMPI, and beginning in 2003, Soarian Clinicals. Responsibilities included:

. Conduct and participate in project implementation kick-offs at project

initiation, to educate customers and establish a collaborative working

relationship

. Conduct implementation planning sessions to review roles, scope of

work, the project workplan, project software tools and documents to be

used in the project

. Analyze and resolve errors on inbound interfaces (RTIF) from sending

systems to EAD, during implementation, system tuning, post-Live

support, and during error investigations

. Formal education delivery of the EAD class for the Education Services

division of Siemens, at Siemens Corporate Headquarters and customer

sites across the country

. Implementation of HL7 and Non-HL7 interfaces to integrate Siemens and

third party software systems with EAD. These included store and

forward, and query and response interfaces
