Op-Amp High frequency Operational Amplifier:
Research CMOS operational amplifier, for monolithic mixed signal
application. High unity gain frequency is achieved by employing
telescopic main amplifier and gain is increased by making use
of only one parallel booster auxiliary amplifier, placing it in
a non-negative loop, and two pole-zero doublet cancellation
capacitors, thus saving power and die area.
Project Advanced Digital Logic Design: Implementation of a small
s microprocessor on a FPGA board using VHDL programming in Altera
Max Plus II CAD Tools.
RF Communication Circuits: In this project different components
of a short wave receiver set, RF Amplifier, Mixer, IF Amplifier,
Detector and Audio Amplifier, are designed, implemented on a
bread-board and tested
Digital Filter Design & Implementation: Used Matlab Signal
Processing Environment and Motorola DSP56002EVM Microprocessor
board and Graphical User Interface (GUI) for System Response
Characteristics of a First-Order / Second-Order Recursive
Digital Filter. Writing Matlab code for different filter
transfer functions, such as Chebyshev, Butterworth, elliptical
and plotting the Magnitude-Frequency-Response of the filters.
Digital Signal Processing: A Comprehensive paper review to show
how Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is superior to Discrete
Fourier Transform (DFT), using matrix and why it is used in many
popular image compression techniques, e.g., JPEG and MPEG.
Error Control Coding: Simulation of channel coding using C
programming, to make channel encoder, channel and decoder
simulators according to the Trellis and State diagram.
Digital Integrated Circuit Design: This is a joint project with
a French University. A group of communication students developed
a Verilog program for Gaussian noisy channel. We designed the
chip with Cadence Digital Logic Design Flow tools. The chip
emulates a Gaussian noisy channel - any signal at the input
appears Gaussian noise distorted at the output.
BISDN Network Design & Optimization: Utilization of super
restorability in networks by modified Dikstra algorithm. Even in
optimal design there are spans in a network on which traffic
load can be increased without any impact on the spare capacity
design. In this project C programs are written to route new
demands in a manner such that the fewest total new links are
added to the network to both provision the new service path and
make it fully restorable on all spans en-route.
