Grede Marion is a ductile iron foundry. We

manufacture exhaust manifolds, rear axle hubs and

brackets for major automotive corporations such as

Cat, Cummins, John Deere Chrysler, and GM. My

responsibility's include:

Supervisor of layout Department, coordinating all

dimensional checks and engineering changes.

Working with 3D CAD models in the prototype stages,

and production stage to generate our pattern and

corebox layouts.

Responsible for all the drawings throughout the plant

including QC drawings, engineering change drawings,

layout drawings, etc.

Responsible for coordinating sample runs, and

analysis of our Pre-Production and Production parts

(PPAP), including section cuts for shrinkage and

monitoring scrap issues on everyday production runs.

Responsible for the dimensional verification of all

of our parts by using the Bendix portage layout

machine, height gauges, and writing programs with the

Zeiss coordinate measurement machine.

Design and testing of functional gages for new parts.

Responsible for the Calibration and Certification of

all the Gages, Fixtures, CMM, and all dimensional

gages.

Supervisor of layout Department, coordinating all

dimensional checks and engineering changes.

Responsible for coordinating with our pattern shops

and customers dealing with dimensional, engineering

and scrap problems with our parts.

Responsible for implementing ISO/QS-9000/TS-16949

quality standards within the engineering and the QC

departments.

I am also on the ISO/QS-9000 internal audit team,

auditing different departments and insuring the

standards are being met.
