Dissertation focus: My research initialized the study of completely positive matrices (CP) over
semirings. I discovered effective algorithms for complete positivity for matrices over special semirings
and proved the truth of the famous Drew Johnson Loewy Conjecture (1994) for completely positive
matrices over certain special semirings. My work has applications in Graph Theory, Optimization
Theory and Networking.

Thesis focus: This study examined a semiring version of the Cayley Dickson construction to establish a
relationship between special semirings and to compare different notions of rank functions of matrices
