Experience
J. Gumbo’s Cajun and Creole Cooking June to August 2014
I worked as an all puropse restaurant worker. My duties included serving food, preparing food, cleaning the restaurant,
working at the register, and catering.
Education
St. Charles Preparatory School 2010 2014
It is a Catholic, all male preparatory school that emphasizes fraternity and rigorous academic training. I have done well in
several AP courses like Calculus AB (scored a 4), Biology (sored a 4), and Physics B (scored a 5). By participating in
extracurricular groups and teams such as cross country, theatre, and National Honors Society, I picked up a plethora of skills through my activities. These skills include building sets, playing and queuing sound for plays, running in cross country meets, and helping tutor kids. I have also been to Nicaragua on mission trip, where I helped dig gardens, pick up trash, and teach English to poor, native children.
The Ohio State University August 2014 to present
I have learned to organize my time to include exercise, studying, and socialization. Currently, I am in the Exploration program, meaning that I am undecided in my major, but I am looking into either Criminology or Mathematics.
Skills
I have become familiar with various facets of manual labor, whether it is construction with wood, cleaning, painting, and
working on ladders. I am attentive to detail and quite analytical when it comes to approaching problems. I have become an effective, clear communicator through my experience in speech. Along with this, my people skills have increased
considerably, through working within the restaurant business and volunteer work. Also, through weight training, I have built my physical strength considerably, and have developed my physical well-being quite thoroughly.
